There are over 62.6 million WordPress sites worldwide. This is one of the most popular platforms many of our customers use so we wanted to share a simple way to redirect WP sites to mobile using FTP (File Transport Protocol).
- You will need to have a FTP Client such as FileZilla >> You can download it for free at filezilla-project.org
- Log into FTP (File Site Manager)
- New Sites
- Type in Host
- Type in Username and Password
- Hit Connect
- Make sure you are connected to the server
- ** This is for WordPress only >> find the file named index.php in root folder
- Copy file onto your desktop
- Open file using Notepad
- Log into your White Label back-end (ex: admin.yourwhitelabel.com)
- Go to the specific site in need of redirection
- Click Integrate on the left menu under Mobile Site Settings
- Scroll down to PHP and copy the PHP code given
- Go back to the index.php file and paste it into Notepad and save it
- On FTP Client >> rename index.php to indexold.pohp
- Drag new file that was just edited onto FTP labeled index.php
- Test!
