Enterprise Thursday World Conference to Discuss What’s Next in Mobile

The 4G World 2012 Conference and Expo will be held from October 29 to November 1 at McCormick Place in Chicago. “Enterprise Thursday” on Nov. 4 will bring together the top enterprise IT executives and mobile operators to discuss what the next 3 years in mobile will look like.

According to the website, the conference will include “Device announcements such as the iPhone5, as well as developments from Nokia, Samsung, Microsoft and RIM, [who] are all reshaping the smartphone and tablet markets. 4G World’s unique and comprehensive program covers ALL facets of the 4G ecosystem, from devices and applications to enterprise services and infrastructure.” While the iPhone 5 announcement ship has already sailed, it will be interesting to see what the other companies are bringing to the table.

The Chicago Mobile Meetup Group (CMUP), an informal professional group focused on developing relationships, exchanging ideas, and fostering mobile technology innovation will also be present at the conference to lend their insight into where the enterprise mobile marketplace is headed. The keynote from the CMUP founder J. Schwan will highlight the major categories of mobile moments in sales, services, customer support, marketing, and transaction processing.

While the 4G specifics are all centered on the city of Chicago and the Chicago Broadband Challenge, this conference is sure to benefit everyone involved in the mobile ecosystem. Industry thought leaders will come together to discuss enterprise applications that run on a truly converged mobile broadband platform enabled by 4G LTE, HSPA+ and Wi-Fi.

If you can’t make it to the conference they do offer a mobile App (of course!) and a downloadable brochure on their website.
